William A. and Marjorie L. (Sidebottom) Carpenter will celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary March 17, 2010.

They were married in 1940 at Spring Hill United Presbyterian Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Carpenter have been Rush County residents all of their married life and live on their farm near Glenwood.

They gathered at Fiddler’s Three in Shelbyville for a Sunday buffet with their daughters, Joyce Kay Thompson and Suzanne Fry, and son-in-law, Paul Fry. All of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren also joined them for the celebration.

Three musicians entertained by playing Irish music on dulcimers.

The special day was enjoyed by all.

Quentin Petry and Joyce Howard were married on Dec. 20, 1941, in Lewisville with Rev. A. Burns officiating.

Lowell Clark Noble and Linda Kay Dunigan were married Dec. 17, 1961 at Glenwood Christian (Church of Christ) Church. The Reverend Alton Dick performed the candlelight ceremony. The couple resides on the Noble family farm at 6748 W. Coletrane Road, Glenwood.
