RUSHVILLE — Mr. and Mrs. Joe Leisure are celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

Joe and Rita (Rider) Leisure were married Nov. 26, 1961 at Raleigh Christian Church with Rex Mitchell officiating.

Joe has farmed in the Carthage area all of his life.

Rita worked part-time for an optometrist in Knightstown many years.

They attend Southside Church of Christ in New Castle.

They are the proud parents of three children: Jeff and Teresa Leisure of Carthage; Sherry and Randy Jarvis of Portage, Mich.; and Dean and Julie Leisure of Arlington.

They are grandparents to six grandchildren: Marcus Bostic, Quinn Leisure, Shelby and Alex Jarvis, Brett and Brooke Leisure.

This summer they enjoyed a trip out west while visiting some of the national parks.

Joe and Rita enjoyed their celebration with their family.

    Bob and Lela (Fancher) Self were united in marriage on Nov. 23, 1947, at the Hannegan Christian Church near Rushville.
    Bob is the son of the late Willard and Lydia Self and Lela is the daughter of the late Donald and Martha Fancher.
    They are the proud parents of six children: Brenda and (Bill) Dean of Luzerne, Mich., Terry and (Mark) VanNatta of Falmouth, Barbara and (Rick) Masters of Radford, Va., Joni and (Gary) Irwin of Indianapolis, Julie and (Jeff) Allen of Greenwood and Robert and (Tina) Self, also of Greenwood. They have 21 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren with two more on the way.
    Bob is retired from the Rush County Schools as Director of Buildings and Grounds and Lela is retired from the Rushville National Bank.

    Charley is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Steve Logan of Slemp, Ky.
    JoAnn is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Wilhelm of Rushville.
    Charley and JoAnn are the parents of daughter Ronda Lynn (Logan) Ralstin. She married James “Jamie” Ralstin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Ralstin of Rushville.
    Mr. and Mrs. Logan have two grandchildren; and two great grandsons.
    Charley and JoAnn Logan are members of First Southern Baptist Church of Rushville.
