Voters turned out at Rush County polling locations and made their voices heard during Tuesday's Primary Election. Under blue skies, only 32.73 percent or 3,889 of the county's 11,887 registered voters let their voices be heard by casting a ballot.
At the state level, Richard Lugar has conceded to Richard Mourdock in a primary battle for the senate seat.

Local grad marching in half-time show today

Ashley Wilson, 2009 graduate of RCHS and daughter of Chuck and Monica Wilson, has been playing trumpet and marching with the Purdue All-American Marching Band this past season.
Ashley will be marching with the band at the Little Caesar's Bowl in Detroit, Mich., during half time today, Dec. 27.

Rush County Health Department

Beginning in January, the Rush County Health Department will change the days and times for their Senior Screening Program. In January, April, July and October, the screening will take place at the Rush County Senior Center.
During the months of February, March, May, June, August, September, November and December, the screening will take place in the Rush County Health Department, Room 105, Rush County Courthouse. All screening will take place from 9 a.m. to noon on the second Wednesday of each month.

The community is invited to drive by a live nativity scene from 6 to 7 p.m. on Christmas Day, Dec. 25, at 2145 S. Flatrock River Road. From the Rushville Courthouse, go west 1.25 miles on S.R. 44, turn south (left) on Flatrock River Road. Go 1.5 miles and look for the live nativity in the big white barn on the right.

Updates made to courthouse emergency plan
