10,000 Safety Observation

RUSHVILLE —

Emerson Climate Technologies' Rushville plant recently completed its 10,000th safety observation. The safety observation program is a behavior-based process in which employees observe each other in a cooperative manner, designed to minimize workplace risk-taking, and eliminate injuries. Since the program's inception in 2007, the plant has cut its recordable injuries by almost 75 percent. Pictured are Terry Stiers, who performed the 10,000th observation and received a day off with pay; George Svaranowic, HR Manager; Brent Rouse, Materials Supervisor; and Tom Zofkie, Director of Operations.
