RCHS Business Professionals of America club members advance to state

Rushville Republican

RUSHVILLE — The RCHS Business Professionals of America club competed at District competition on Jan. 12 at Hagerstown High School. Students competed in various events including accounting, desktop publishing, video production, and extemporaneous speech.

The Video Production team consisting of Kyle Hoeing, Isaac Sliger, Austin Niehoff, and Brayton Wood won first place in the district and will advance to state level competition. Kyle Hoeing also advanced to state level competition as he finished in third place in Computerized Accounting. John Riddell was the other member who advanced to state competition as he finished in second place in Fundamental Accounting. The advancing students will compete at the 2013 Indiana BPA State Leadership Conference, which will be held March 10-12 at the Indianapolis Downtown Marriott.
