Trane supporting public safety

RUSHVILLE — In 1971, when Trane first opened its doors on Benjamin Street, few could have predicted the success of the plant and its operations four decades later. In July of that year, the first handful of employees, seven, were hired to begin fabricating and assembling prototype units. In January of 1972, the first orders were shipped. The product built in Rushville is Variable Air Volume units (VAV).

This year, several employees are celebrating their 41st anniversary with Trane. Employee engagement at the plant is what drives its success.

Today, Trane in Rushville, manufactures units in the most state-of-the-art facility in the world. The most advanced manufacturing techniques in the industry have been implemented to provide an exceptionally rugged and reliable VAV unit. All products are UL listed for safety and provide proven performance.

Trane – a brand of Ingersoll Rand - helps improve lives around the world through innovative heating and air conditioning systems, services and solutions. Ingersoll Rand is a world leader in creating and sustaining safe, comfortable and efficient environments.

Recently, Trane donated money to the Rushville Police and Fire Departments, in appreciation of their work.
