Our View: Klan not welcome here

RUSHVILLE — A Morristown man was cited for littering earlier this week after leaving literature supportive of the Ku Klux Klan at several locations in and around Arlington and Rushville.

While the Rushville Republican's support of the First Amendment has never wavered, we do find the KKK's message of racial intolerance abhorrent.

It's long since past the time when the bigotry and hate embraced by the Klan and similar organizations is considered to be acceptable.

That kind of ignorance has no place in Rush County or anywhere else.

The KKK and other organizations of their ilk should know they are not welcome here.
