Rush County Chorale
The Rush County Chorale has been hard at work rehearsing for their upcoming Holiday Concert. Concert dates are 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 1 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 at the RCHS Laughlin Center.
Tickets may be purchased for $6 from any chorale member or send an e-mail with subject line TICKETS with the number of tickets you need to rushcountychorale@gmail.com and someone will get back to you with
information needed for the purchase.
Trivia Night

25th Annual Christmas Bazaar
The 25th Annual Christmas Bazaar will be held from 5 to 9:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Rush County Senior Citizens Services, 504 W. Third St. The Christmas Bazaar is held in conjunction with the Christmas Candlelight Tour of Homes. Come and enjoy craft booths, refreshments, door prizes and more. Open to the public. Dance for elementary school age
Dance for elementary school age children, 6 to 8 p.m., Dec. 7 at the Boys & Girls Club of Rush County. $3 per person. DJ. Kevin Green. Proceeds benefit the Boys & Girls Club.

Dec. 6 to 9: Madrigal Dinners (Madrigals).Tickets are now on sale, and can be purchased through any RCHS Madrigal member or by contacting Mr. Grizzard at 932-3901 or grizzardp@rushville.k12.in.us. Tickets are $15 each and include a meal and an evening’s entertainment by the Madrigal Singers as well as the Connersville Brass Quintet. The Madrigal Dinners are catered by Dave Buening and take place at the Rush County Courthouse on four consecutive nights: Thursday, Dec. 6 at 6:30 p.m. (Grilled chicken); Friday, Dec. 7 at 6:30 p.m. (Pork loin), Saturday, Dec. 8 at 6:30 p.m. (Roast beef), and Sunday, Dec. 9 at 12:30 p.m. (Fried chicken). Don’t miss this long-standing Rush Country tradition!
7:30 p.m. Dec. 12: Winter Concert (All Choirs). This concert is free and open to the public.

St. Joe Festival underway in Shelbyville
The carnival rides, games and food booths are back for another year at the St. Joseph Parish Spring Festival on the corner of Broadway and Noble Streets in Shelbyville. The festival kicked off Thursday and runs through Saturday night. The annual fried chicken dinner will continue Sunday following the festival at the Knights of Columbus.

Laugh, and the world laughs with you
Director Bonnie Miller, assistant director Cory Bockover and producer Terri Sipes are excited and ready to get to work on RCP’s season-ending production of “I’m So Glad We Had This Time Together.” Named after Carol Burnett’s theme song, and featuring skits from her classic sketch comedy show, RCP’s version will also feature selections from Monty Python’s Flying Circus, Saturday Night Live, Mad TV, The Tonite Show with Johnny Carson and others.

Pink Droyd (A Tribute to Pink Floyd)
The first performance of the 2013 Rushville summer concert series will be with one of the nation’s top touring Pink Floyd tribute acts, Pink Droyd, and will also include a special solo acoustic set from Indiana native Doug Henthorn. The free event is 7 p.m., Saturday, June 1, at the Riverside Park Amphitheater in Rushville, located at 100 West Water Street.

Les Misérables auditions in Richmond
Director N. Ruth Brown and Musical Director Jon Hudnall are seeking singer/actors to audition for Richmond Civic Theatre’s upcoming production of Les Misérables, opening Aug. 16, 2013 at the historic Murray Theatre at 10th and Main Streets in Richmond.
