The Donald Burns Band kicked off Saturday’s free concert in Riverside Park on Rushville’s south side. The Fayette County singer/songwriter performed several original compositions as well as a handful of cover tunes. The next free show in the 2009 Summer Concert Series will be July 11 when the Gordon Bonham Blues Band opens for Roomful of Blues.
