RUSHVILLE — The community is invited to join in the Grand Opening of The Gathering from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 11, at 245 N. Main St., Rushville. The ribbon cutting will include free hot coffee, tea hot chocolate, cappuccino and delicious “signature” cookies. Larry Dimick will begin live music at 6 p.m. Friday for your enjoyment. Stop by and introduce yourself and everyone is welcome.

reNEW clothing store is located in the back of The Gathering and is offering clean, gently used clothing. Browse around on Jan. 11 during the Grand Opening and check out the clothing available.

The Gathering has WiFi and is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays.

    The carnival rides, games and food booths are back for another year at the St. Joseph Parish Spring Festival on the corner of Broadway and Noble Streets in Shelbyville. The festival kicked off Thursday and runs through Saturday night. The annual fried chicken dinner will continue Sunday following the festival at the Knights of Columbus.
