In honor of October being Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, the Rushville Animal Shelter will be waiving adoption fees on all dogs and cats for approved applicants through the end of October.
A $10 fee will still be charged for microchipping dogs.
Adopters of dogs and/or cats will be referred to the Save Our Tails coordinator to get their new family member signed up for a low cost spay/neuter transport.
Shelter hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday.
