wedding: Richardson-Horn


Amanda Jayne Richardson and Nathan Lane Horn were married at 4:30 p.m. July 12, 2008, at Little Flatrock Christian Church, Rushville, with the Rev. John Sargent officiating. A string trio, led by Rachel Greis from Phyllis and Friends, Greenwood, provided music during the ceremony.

The bride wore a white satin pick-up ball gown with cuff neckline and lace-up back trimmed in pearl pink with a sweep train. Her veil was finger-tip length, accentuated with pink ribbon trim, and was hand-made by the bride. The bride’s jewelry was a gift from the groom and consisted of a necklace and bracelet of freshwater pearls and diamond earrings. She carried a cascade bouquet of stargazer and white lilies, Gerber daisies, mini carnations, and baby’s breath. She also carried her great-grandmother’s handkerchief, which had also been carried by her mother, grandmother, and two cousins in their weddings.                 

Maid of honor was Melissa Richardson, Rushville, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Nicole Horn, Brownsburg, groom’s sister; Samantha Wall, West Lafayette, couple’s friend; and Heather Hunt, Springfield, Ohio, bride’s friend. Flower girl was Becky Muir, Mays, bride’s cousin.

Best man was Mathew Horn, Brownsburg, brother of the groom. Groom’s attendants were Jake Hood, Milroy, couple’s friend; Mark Cvetkovich, Brownsburg, groom’s cousin; and Kyle Murphy, Kirkland, Wash., groom’s friend. Ring bearer was Parker Mitchell, Carthage, bride’s cousin.

Scripture was read by Abby Loe, Indianapolis, friend of the couple. Guests were greeted by Shellie Current, Jeffersonville, bride’s cousin, Amy Morin, Brownsburg, friend of the couple, and Kim Pohle, West Lafayette, friend of the couple, and were seated by Jamie Thompson and Brandon Aldrich, Brownsburg, friends of the couple.

The wedding party was driven to the reception by Allen and Craig Cohee of Grand Lynx limousine service, Milroy. The reception was at the Root Building, Rushville, and was catered by Sam and Maria Trebley of Sam’s Catering, Glenwood. The wedding cake was made by Connie Meyer, Rushville, the bride’s cousin. Servers were Shellie Current, Amy Morin and Kim Pohle. Flowers for the wedding, reception, and cake were arranged by Rushville Florists. Wine and champagne were served by Nayan and Mindy Koyani, groom’s uncle and aunt, and Natalie Cross, groom’s cousin.

Grandparents in attendance were Henrietta Richardson, Rushville, bride’s grandmother; Marjorie Tasich, Brownsburg, groom’s grandmother; and Willis and Rhelda Horn, Brownsburg, groom’s grandparents.

The daughter of Paul and Debbie Richardson, Rushville, the bride received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Animal Sciences from Purdue University and is seeking employment following graduation in December 2008.

The son of Brian and Marci Horn, Brownsburg, the groom received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Animal Sciences from Purdue University and is employed with JBS United in Sheridan, as a research assistant.

Following a honeymoon in Grayton Beach, Fla., the couple is temporarily residing in Brownsburg.
