Noble Farmers and Friends
Noble Farmers and Friends 4-H Club met at 7 p.m. Dec. 8 with leader Dixie Meyer at the New Salem Lions Club.
The pledge to the American flag was given by Katie Meyer and the 4-H pledge by Samantha Meyer. Eight members answered roll call by telling their favorite Christmas song. Two guests attended.
The next meeting will be at 7 p.m. Monday with election of officers.
Rush County Junior Leaders
Rush County Junior Leaders met Nov. 24 for its third meeting. The meeting was called to order by President Eric Wagner. The American pledge was led by Josh Henderson and the 4-H pledge by Brandon Meyer.
A secretary’s report was read by secretary Katie Meyer. She also discussed school visits. If you signed up in November you should receive information from her in early January.
Treasurer’s report was given by treasurer Doug Wicker.
Also, thanks to everyone who helped with the Community Thanksgiving Meal in November!
State 4-H scholarship forms are available in the Extension Office; if wanting assistance in filling out the forms call the office. Forms are due Jan. 15.
The Escape to Indy trip for the club took place Jan. 2. All who attended had a fun-filled day with laser tagging, shopping at Circle Center Mall, ice skating at the Plaza, and bowling to top off the night. About 75 members and friends enjoyed the day in Indianapolis.
Next meeting is 7 p.m. Jan. 26 with an officers meeting at 6:40 p.m. If school is canceled or dismissed early that day the meeting also will be canceled.
