n Rush County Schools Board of Trustees will meet at 7 p.m. today at 330 West Eighth Street, Rushville. Open to all interested persons.

WEDNESDAY (7/8)
n All Star Soccer Camp will be held Wednesday through Friday at McNabb Park in Carthage. Soccer camp is free and open to kindergarten through sixth grade students. THURSDAY (7/9)
n All local 1118 UAW who are drawing a pension from union are eligible to come to a retiree dinner at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Eastside Methodist Church in Connersville. Please bring a filled covered dish. All drinks, plates, etc. will be provided. Come alone or bring a spouse/friend. Widows welcome. It’s a casual event so come relax and enjoy time with old friends.
n The Gingham Pals Home Ec Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Park Restaurant for dinner, with an afterglow party at the home of Ann Hamill. Program books with lessons and meetings will be filled out at this time.
n Hint Hunters Homemakers Club will meet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the home of Janeice Byrne, 830 North Sexton Street, Rushville. Members will be filling out program books for next year. Please bring a finger food.
SATURDAY (7/11)
n The annual Neeb Open will be the second weekend of July. The golf event will be held at Antler Pointe Golf Course on Saturday and the tee time is set for 7:30 a.m. Men and women are both welcome and encouraged to play.
n The Indiana Historical Society’s traveling exhibit, The Faces of Lincoln, can be seen at the Rush County Historical Society’s Gowdy House Museum, 601 N. Perkins, from 9 a.m. to noon Mondays and Thursdays through July and from 1 to 3 p.m. this Saturday, July 19 and Aug. 2.
n Due to the July 4 holiday, the CleanGreenRush Tox-Away Center will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday instead of the usual first Saturday to collect household hazardous waste. The next eScrap collection of electronics will be in October.
SUNDAY (7/12)
n Men’s Day at Wesleyan United Methodist Church will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the church, corner of East Eighth Street and Fort Wayne Road, Rushville.
n The annual Orange High School reunion will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at the New Salem Lion’s Club on U.S. 52. n The Friends of the Greensburg Public Library will have its annual summer book sale from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. July 17 and 18 in the meeting room at the library, 1110 E. Main Street, Greensburg. n Memory Crafters will meet at 6:30 p.m. July 21 at Main Street Christian Church. We will have a short lesson, then there will be time to work on your own project and/or see what everyone else is working on. You don’t have to be a member to attend.

n Manilla Town & Country Homemakers Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. July 22 at the home of Lori Kuhn with Evonne Kuhn as cohostess. Virginia Rogers will give devotions. New program books will be distributed and members will complete the books for the upcoming year.
SUNDAY (7/26)
n Rushville Elks third annual Golfers vs. Cancer Golf Tournament will have a 10:30 a.m. shotgun start July 26. Four person scramble, total handicap 45 or more, only one team member with under 10 handicap.
THURSDAY (7/30)
n Registration for Rushville Elementary School will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. July 30 and from 8 a.m. until noon July 31.

n Rush County Bikers Toys for Tots five-copunty poker run will be Aug. 8. Sign up 10 a.m. to noon at Daddy’s Diner (fka Miller’s Drive In) in Rushville. Per bike $15 plus $5 per rider. n The Community Food Pantry is open every Tuesday and Thursday and the last Saturday of every month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 109 East Third Street. Please bring your photo ID. Donations are welcome.
n The Rush County Victim's Assistance, Inc. has its monthly meeting on the third Monday of each month at 6 p.m. For location please contact the office at 938-1555. The public always is invited to attend. For more information contact Barbara Kuhn at 938-1555.
n The Board of Health for Rush County will hold its monthly meetings at 7 p.m. every third Tuesday except for December, when there is not a scheduled meeting.
n The Alzheimer’s Association offers support groups for caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s disease or related dementias. Participants receive emotional support, practical assistance in coping with issues they face and the latest information about research. Meetings are confidential and free. Meetings are held in Rushville at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of every month at Rush Memorial Hospital, 1300 N. Main Street, third floor conference room.
