SEPTEMBER TUESDAY (9/7) n The local Tea Party group, God’s Army for Us, will meet at 6 p.m. today at The Brau Haus in Oldenburg. Franklin County commissioner candidates will hold a debate. WEDNESDAY (9/8) n The Rushville Music Study Club will open the new year at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the home of Marilyn Dunn with a meal. Table service will be provided. This year's theme is Hymnology. THURSDAY (9/9) n The New Salem Lions Club will host their appreciation dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Air Evac and a leader dog will be at the dinner for the public to see. The dinner is free and open to the public. n All local 1118 UAW that are drawing a pension from the union are welcome to come to the Roots Blower retirees’ dinner. The retiree pitch-in dinner will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at Eastside Methodist Church in Connersville. Please bring a filled, covered dish. It is a casual event so come and relax and enjoy some time with old friends. n The Rush County Democrat party will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Rushville City Hall. The group meets the second Thursday of each month except December. Everyone interested is invited to attend. This is a very important meeting.
