Join the June and July Walkabouts

RUSHVILLE — Join in the F.I.T. WALKABOUTS organized by the Fitness Initiative Team of Rush County and designed to get Rush County out and walking. Scheduled Walkabouts are:

Thursday, June 14 Ð 7 p.m. - Track at BRMS.

Monday, June 18 Ð 5:30 p.m. Ð Walk & Talk with the Mayor Ð meet at Gazebo.

Tuesday, June 19 Ð 9 a.m. Ð Walk with the Kids, meet at the Boys & Girls

Club.

Thursday, June 21 Ð 5:30 p.m. Ð East Hill Cemetery, meet back of Sec. 14.

Monday, June 25 Ð 9 a.m. Ð Fair Morning, fairgrounds, meet at Root Building.

June 23 -30 Ð Walk on your own at the Rush County Fair.

Monday, July 2 Ð 5:30 p.m. Ð Discovery Walk led by Mayor Pavey to the area

south of Riverside Park, park at Flatrock Grill (hike).

Wednesday, July 4 Ð Be part of the 4th of July Parade Ð On Your Own.

Thursday, July 5 Ð 5:30 p.m. - Calvary Cemetery on Ft. Wayne Rd., park on

south end.

Monday, July 9 Ð 8 a.m. - Cross Country course to Nature Center, meet at

BRMS Circle drive.

Thursday, July 19 Ð 5:30 p.m. - Calvary Cemetery on Ft. Wayne Rd., park on

south end.

The mission of the Fitness Initiative Team of Rush County is to promote and encourage a more fit and active lifestyle for residents of Rush County of all ages. Suggestions for future walkabouts are welcome.

    In observance of Nursing Home Week, May 12 to 18, Flatrock River Lodge will host several events, meant to encourage residents, families and other close relatives to “Get personal” with their caregivers. Sharing personal details allows the facility care team to offer a personalized environment, or person-centered care, that is targeted to an individual’s preferences and needs. Thus, this year’s theme is “Team Care: Everyone Pitches In!”
