RUSHVILLE —
Dear Editor: I’m writing because last week I went to my 28-year-old sister Lilly’s funeral. One of the last things she said was in a text that said, “Cloud Nine K2 is the [expletive].” The next day she was dead and she’s not the first to fall victim to this new craze. This stuff is called Spice of K2 and known as Fake Pot. It is being sold over the counter, even here in Rushville. It is sold in various forms. It is marketed as an incense and is marked “not for human consumption.” But people are smoking it anyway; it is said to give a marijuana-type high. Lilly’s doctor said her heart was poisoned and once it stopped, no matter what they tried (and they tried everything) it wouldn’t start back up. So Cloud Nine K2 may be the “[expletive]” but is it good enough to die for? This stuff affects different people in different ways. So please talk to your kids, family, friends and anyone you don’t want to go to the funeral of. Donna Dyer RushvilleLetters to the Editor

Parking on Jackson
In regards to Jackson Street being turned into a two-way street, I think it is time that the city stops people from parking the way they did when the restaurant was there. It is a hazard and makes it impossible to drive when there is oncoming traffic.
