RUSHVILLE —
Dear Editor: Once again we come to say “Thank You” for another outpouring of care and concern shown this time by friends and strangers alike at the annual Wiffle Ball Party held by Misty and Craig Moore on June 26. As the lovely front page article in the Republican explained, the Moore’s host this annual event as a means of giving back to their community, friends and loved ones. This year they blessed us all by choosing to sponsor our son, Jacob Ping, and we are again humbled by such a blessing. We now know not only the joy of living in a wonderful community, but have been witnesses to the warmth and compassion that exists in the larger world. We received heartfelt wishes for Jacob’s continued successful recovery from cancer treatment. There were tearful promises of prayers from people we’d never met before and will probably never see again. And they gave abundantly without reservation to a cause they felt worthwhile; trusting that we were deserving of their offerings. We graciously thank Craig and Misty for opening their hearts and sharing with us. We thank God abundantly for such devoted followers and for His mercy and healing grace. A heartfelt thanks
On May 2, I had a medical emergency. My wife called 911 and the Mays/Raleigh Ambulance was dispatched.

Parking on Jackson
In regards to Jackson Street being turned into a two-way street, I think it is time that the city stops people from parking the way they did when the restaurant was there. It is a hazard and makes it impossible to drive when there is oncoming traffic.
