RUSHVILLE — Dear Editor:

Rush County 4-H would like to thank Faith Mock, executive director of the Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation, for her work preparing a training for all 4-H Health and Safety leaders. This was a wonderful, hands-on training with many great resources being provided to 4-H Health and Safety leaders to take back to their club.

This program was made possible by support of RushShelby Energy with their Round-up Grant and also from the Rushville Walmart. 4-H’ers, parents, and 4-H leaders present were given a tour of the radiology department and were treated to refreshments at the end of the evening. Having Rush Memorial as an engaged partner in our community is a wonderful thing!

Library should be county-wide
Dear Editor:
I read with interest Paul Barada’s column proposing that the Rushville Library should become a county facility.
Way back in 1990, shortly after I became publisher of the Rushville Republican, I approached the director of the library, informing her that I wished to put the entire resources of the local newspaper behind a drive to convert the city library to a county library.
