Dear Editor:
Thank you to all my friends, family and neighbors for their love and support during the illness and passing of my beloved husband, Robert Dale Sallee.
Thank you for all the cards, letters, phone calls, visits and meals we received. They meant so much to Bob and me.
I want to thank Dr. Daugherty, Dr. Venkatesh, the caring staff and nurses at Rush Memorial Hospital and Community South Hospital for the excellent care they gave my husband, to Hospice of South Central Indiana for their compassion and to Jim Todd of the Todd Funeral Home for all his help and understanding.
Thank you for the memorial gifts in Bob’s name to the Rush Memorial Hospital Foundation; the Mountain Mission School at Grundy, Va.; Rushville Public Library; and for the Gideon-placed Bibles. Unfortunately, I didn’t receive the enclosure cards for the flowers and plants sent to Bob’s funeral, but there were many and they were so beautiful.
I give special thanks to our church family at First Southern Baptist Church and our Pastor Jeff Edwards for their faithful support, the Celebration of Life service and the meal afterwards. I just can’t thank you enough.
Bob was gentle, loving, generous and kind. But most of all, he was a Christian who loved and trusted our Lord. He was a good man; he fought a good fight and now he has received his good reward.
Sincerely,
Barbara Sallee and family

Is Romney still a conservative? TV media doesn't think so
Dear Editor:
It's interesting to note that television reporters and talking heads now use the term "conservative" to refer only to those on the extreme far right. -
Right to Work: What's the rush?
Dear Editor:
Why the rush to pass Right to Work? The Republicans have all the power and could pass this anytime during this short session. -

RE: Forced "fairness" not government's role
Dear Editor,
I again find myself puzzled by Mr. Barada's columns.
It seems that Mr. Barada believes that that there is an Obama-occupy army waiting around every street corner to kidnap our children and force them into a life of Socialist servitude. -
What about The Star Spangled Banner?
Dear Editor,
When it was recently announced that an Indiana state Senator had introduced a bill calling for rules regulating the performance of our national anthem, some of you may have groaned, "Well, Norm Voiles will certainly weigh in on that one!" - More Letters to the Editor Headlines
