Band appreciates local gig
Dear Editor:
Eight Days A Week - Beatles Tribute Show, performs for many venues during the year. Without a doubt, our Rushville experience was one of the absolute best!
We would like to thank the gracious sponsors of the summer concert series. As artists, we appreciate their support very much.
The people that worked the show were the best! Everyone involved was nice, kind and helpful. We made many new friends during the short time that we were there. We understand that many were volunteers. Thank you to all!
Your amphitheater is a fantastic facility located in a perfect area for summer concert performances. For bands, it is so easy to load-in and out, which is a big plus if you are carrying lots of gear.
Eight Days A Week loved performing for Rushville and hopes to perform there again in the near future.

- Big store is a bully Dear Editor: I have just returned from another disappointing visit to our local Walmart.
- K2/Cloud Nine killed my sister Dear Editor: I’m writing because last week I went to my 28-year-old sister Lilly’s funeral. One of the last things she said was in a text that said, “Cloud Nine K2 is the [expletive].” The next day she was dead and she’s not the first to fall victim to this new craze.
- Need help with cemetery upkeep Dear Editor: We are seeking donations to help take care of the Viena Cemetery on CR 900 South and county line road. My wife and I have been volunteering our time and effort to take care of this since fall of last year.
- Thanks for the support Dear Editor: We just want to thank everyone that in any way contributed to our recent Toys For Tots Bike Ride and Sock Hop.
- Misgivings about Main Street project Dear Editor: I think we can all agree that this construction project on Main Street is a pain in the wahzoo for all of us. Businesses and consumers alike.
- Grateful for the care and concern Dear Editor: Once again we come to say “Thank You” for another outpouring of care and concern shown this time by friends and strangers alike at the annual Wiffle Ball Party held by Misty and Craig Moore
- A big thank you Dear Editor: The family of Kathleen Ragan, the little 4-year-old from Rushville who was hospitalized from July 2 to July 23 with E. coli resulting in Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome, a disease of the kidneys,
- Thank a vet for your freedom The American soldier is the best fighting man in the world. The U.S. military is also the most compassionate and forgiving of any Army the world has ever known.
- Sorry about the omission Dear Editor: On behalf of the Riverside Park Organizing Committee, I would like to apologize to our local Dairy Queen.
- Time of change in mental health Dear Editor: We have come to a time of great change in mental health, which has admittedly created some apprehension and fear; but it is in fact a very exciting time, as we must now move our system of mental health into the future.
