Genuine care did not go unnoticed

Dear Editor:

The family of Mabel Lee would like to take this opportunity to thank God for her life and for her legacy. She truly was a very special person who touched many lives and will be greatly missed. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to her nurses at Flatrock River Lodge, the Rush Memorial Hospital Emergency staff, RMH Ambulance Service and RMH second floor nursing staff for their exceptional care during her illness. The genuine care that you showed to her and our family during those final days did not go unnoticed and will not be forgotten. In addition we would like to thank Ann and Tom Moster for their sincere personal approach during this most difficult time. A very special thank you to Pastor Darryl and Brooke Cooper and the members of The Family Worship Center. You demonstrated just how the Body of Christ should respond to those in need. Your prayers, support and the dinner that followed the service were deeply appreciated. May God bless everyone that took the time to express their condolences. We will cherish the fact that her life meant so much to so many.

  • Parking on Jackson

In regards to Jackson Street being turned into a two-way street, I think it is time that the city stops people from parking the way they did when the restaurant was there. It is a hazard and makes it impossible to drive when there is oncoming traffic.
