Rush County Chamber of Commerce director Sandy Fussner has offered praise to Rush Memorial Hospital on their selection as a site for St. Vincent Hospital’s StatFlight helicopter service in this part of Indiana.
“This is an important addition to the overall healthcare services available to Rush and surrounding counties. I think it’s a real tribute to the work Brad Smith has been doing to upgrade healthcare services not only for our partners in the Chamber, but for the county as a whole.”
Recently, St. Vincent Hospital selected Rushville as the new location in Southeastern Indiana for their emergency helicopter service, called StatFlight.
In addition to stationing a fully equipped medical emergency helicopter here, several new jobs will also be created.
“This is an important step forward as we begin to really concentrate our efforts on helping bring new residents to Rush County. The quality of healthcare services is something every new family considers when they’re looking for a community in which to live and raise their families,” Fussner said.
She added that the selection of Rushville as the newest location for StatFlight makes the community an even more significant hub for the latest in healthcare delivery services.
“Obviously, St. Vincent’s could have selected any community in this part of the state, but thanks to the efforts of Brad Smith and others they chose Rushville and that’s not only good for the community as a whole, but it’s another step forward in the progress we hope to see in this community and this community,” Fussner said.
