RUSHVILLE —
A woman accused of smuggling tobacco and a cell phone to an inmate at New Castle Correctional Facility has been charged with felony trafficking with an inmate.
State police say 44-year-old Roberta Ashburn of New Castle turned herself into Henry County police late Friday. She worked at the prison for a company that contracts to provide food services at the prison.
She was released from the Henry County Jail on $7,500 bond. Her initial hearing is scheduled for Feb. 11.
She could not be reached for comment because there was not telephone listing for her. Court records did not show that she had hired an attorney.
