Here are some important dates for RCHS parents and students. Registration from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and 8 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. Wednesday with freshman orientation at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the auditorium. Registration continues from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 5. Aug. 16 is the first student day. This will be a “White Day” and all students are to report to Block 1 by 8:10 a.m. Open House will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sept. 1.News

Garry Cooley, executive director of the Rush County Community Foundation, has announced that the application deadline for the Cycle III, 2010 Community Grants is 4 p.m. Oct. 15.

Armed robber targets local business
The Harvest Land Co-op gas station and convenience store, 627 West Third Street, Rushville was robbed of an unspecified amount of money shortly after closing Saturday night by a suspect brandishing a knife.
