The Greenfield District of the Indiana Department of Transportation has a total of $1,230,000 available for cities, counties and towns seeking federal funding for Transportation Enhancement projects.
Today, 10 applicants will make presentations to a selection panel in Greenfield. Funding sought by the 10 applicants totals $9,213,954.
Today’s 30-minute presentations are scheduled for the East Conference Room at INDOT’S District office, 32 South Broadway, Greenfield. They are open to the public.
The Town of Glenwood is scheduled for 11 a.m. The rest of the schedule is: 8:30 a.m. Greenfield, 9 a.m. Summitville, 9:30 a.m. Dunkirk, 10 a.m. Hamilton County, 10:30 a.m. Union City, 12:30 p.m. Wayne County, 1 p.m. Blackford County, 1:30 p.m. Westfield, 2 p.m. Frankton.
Transportation Enhancement projects under consideration include streetscapes and greenways to bridge renovation and depot preservation.
The panel’s recommendations will be reviewed and awards will be formally announced Nov. 5.
