The Rush County Democrat Central Committee and party faithful, along with friends and guests, are preparing for the annual Jefferson-Jackson Day Dinner.
This year’s dinner and program will be held Nov. 7 in the 201 Building, 201 N. Main Street, Rushville.
Doors open at 5 p.m. for a time to socialize; dinner will be served at 5:45 p.m.
Tickets are $20 and available from any precinct person. RSVP Anna Karen Pennington 765-932-3488.
Rush County native, former Indiana Secretary of State and U.S. Senate candidate Joe Hogsett will be the keynote speaker.

In addition, he defends businesses in employment discrimination and civil rights litigation in state and federal court.
Hogsett also assists with the firm’s Government Department in its service to Indiana’s cities and towns and county governments.
For more than 25 years, Joe Hogsett has played a prominent role in Indiana’s civic life as a practicing attorney, counselor and senior advisor to three governors, and, most prominently, as Indiana’s 57th Secretary of State (1989 to 1994).
