The RCHS Speech Team traveled to Lawrence Central Saturday afternoon for a huge meet that included over 35 schools and 500 contestants.

Placing for the local team was Hannah Simpson with a 10th, and 9th place finish in Impromptu and Original Performance.

In Broadcasting, Connie Harcourt and Mitch Columbe placed 5th and 8th respectively.

The high ribbon placer was Tiffany Alexander and Kile Stevens, placing 3rd with their original performance titled “History: Out of the Textbook.”

As a team the Lions placed 4th overall and took home another varsity trophy.
