Rush County Economic & Community Development Corporation (ECDC) has announced that ECDC is sponsoring a series of classes for small business owners in Rush County.
This will be the seventh of a series of computer classes that ECDC will be offering to local small business owners and their employees. The classes will cover subjects that should help local businesses work more effectively, and make them more technologically productive.
The seventh series of classes will cover the introductory, or beginning, level Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Publisher – as well as QuickBooks.
Classes will be held on consecutive Wednesdays starting May 30, 2007 and ending on June 20, 2007. Classes will be from 6 to 10 p.m. and held at the LifeLong Learning Center located at 126 S. Main Street, Rushville (on the second floor of the RushShelby Energy building).
Students must bring $100 to the first class, with checks made payable to
Rush County ECDC. If a student completes all four classes the $100 will be
returned, making the class completely free.
However, class size is limited with spots available on a first-come, first-served basis.
This program is made possible by a Rural Business Enterprise Grant through
the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
Eligible businesses must be from Rush County, have 50 or fewer employees,
and less than $1 million in annual revenues.
