Grab your reindeer antlers and your jingle bells ... Santa’s on his way to pose with your pets!
This weekend, the Rushville Animal Shelter will host pet pictures with Santa at the Rushville Republican office, 306 N. Main Street, Rushville from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday.
Participants are asked to use the rear entrance of the building next to the Rushville Pharmacy. Price for the photo is $5 for two 4x6 prints. All proceeds will go directly to the Rushville Animal Shelter.
“We will be using the proceeds from the fundraiser for vet care for animals in need, as well as $10 gas cards for transporters to take animals to rescue,” assistant animal control officer Jamie Glandon said.
Microchipping will also be available for $10 per pet. As an added bonus, pets will get Christmas snacks for their stockings.
“The last event raised enough funds in two hours to buy the shelter a set of scales,” Glandon said. “We had so much interest we decided to do pictures with Santa upon request from people in the community, and we can’t wait to see everyone Saturday afternoon.”
