Shortly before 8 a.m. Wednesday a 25-year-old Rushville woman lost control of her 2002 Dodge as she was traveling westbound on a rain slick SR 44 west of Rushville.
Investigating officer Chief Deputy Duane Raab of the Rush County Sheriff’s Department said Kylene M. Barnes, 25, of Rushville, was westbound. When she entered a sweeping turn east of CR 350W she lost control of her vehicle and slid across the eastbound lane, entered a yard and struck a Verizon communication pole on the driver’s side door of her vehicle.
“She took a very hard lick and was a fortunate individual to not have been seriously hurt,” Raab said.
Responding to the accident were units from the RCSD, Rushville Township Volunteer fire Department, RMH Ambulance Service and Davis Towing.
