Boys & Girls Club members excitedly point to both the goal and the growth on the Club's "Sponsor A Child" fund thermometer. With $3,000 on the board, they are inching up to their $35,000 investment goal, according to Club CPO William Walker. It cost the Club $225.41 per member to operate in 2008. Individuals are being asked to invest in the sponsorship of at least one child at $225. An investment made in the Boys & Girls Club of Rush County is an investment for the future of Rush County. ISP closes Connersville Post
The Indiana State Police Post serving our area relocated from Rushville to Connersville in 1938. Since that time, the post known as “Old Post 6” has been a fixture south of Connersville on State Road 1.

The Rushville Board of Public Works and Safety approved hiring outside legal counsel in the dismissal of Patrolman Chris Lane’s litigation at a special meeting Tuesday at City Hall.
