Alternative Press "100 Bands You Need To Know" featured pop-rock band Sing It Loud launched their first headlining tour of the U.S. March 11.
Named the "Guys Guys Guys Tour" as a tongue-in-cheek nod to their heroes Motley Crue, Sing It Loud hit the road with special guests The Friday Night Boys, The Morning Light, Artist vs Poet and The Summer Set.
Touring in support of their new album, Come Around, Sing It Loud have been crisscrossing the country since March, including performances at SXSW, Bamboozle Left, Bamboozle, a trip overseas for their UK debut supporting Cobra Starship and a coveted spot on the entire Vans Warped Tour on the Hurley Second Stage.
Sing It Loud’s is building buzz with MTVU"s "Freshman 5," Seventeen.com and Teen.com featured band, over 2.5 million Youtube views of their recent video for "No One Can Touch Us," and their highly anticipated new video for their single "Come Around" due out soon.
Sing It Loud in comprised of Rushville native Chris Lee on drums, Kieren Smith on guitar, Pat Brown on vocals and guitar, Ben Peterson on keys and Nate Flynn on bass. Chris has enjoyed success with other bands prior to joining Sing It Loud including Jamestown Story.
Chris Lee is the son of Tom and Lisa Lee of Rush County.
The young drummer’s dad, who works as the Service Manager at Hubler Auto in Rushville, said he thinks it’s great his son is enjoying success.
“It’s got its ups and downs, you know, of course we miss him, but it’s exciting,” Tom said. “It’s really nice that he’s been able to see the country, and now he’s seeing the world, and doing it in a positive manner. As long as he can make a good living doing that then I think that’s what he wants to do.”
Sing It Loud will be featured Tuesday evening at Verizon Wireless Music Center as part of this summer’s Warped Tour (for more information about upcoming dates visit www.warpedtour.com).
