Boy Scout Chicken Fry Saturday

RUSHVILLE — Chicken Fry from 4 to 8 p.m. at Rushville Elk’s Lodge for Boy Scout Troop 27 and St. Paul’s Church. The menu features chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, green beans, salad bar, drinks and dessert. Carry-outs available. Advance tickets are $8 for adults and kids 5-10 years eat for $6. Five and under eat free. Advance tickets are available from Troop 27 members or see the fliers placed about town for the discount information. Tickets will also be available at the Elk’s Lodge door for $10 for adults and $8 for kids ages 5-10.

    Rush County Chamber of Commerce Director Sandy Fussner has issued a statement following a recent meeting of the Rushville Common Council in which local parade organizer Sandra Coons said Fussner had “declared war” regarding the annual July 4 parade that Coons has organized the past several years.
