Paul W. Monroe, 67, of Rush County, passed away Saturday, July 17, 2010 in Indianapolis. Born July 21, 1942 in Hope, he was the son of John and Lettie (Glick) Monroe, both deceased. He married Mary Leffler July 11, 1966; she survives. Paul was a 1960 graduate of Hauser High School and a 1964 graduate of Purdue University. He worked at Royster-Clark agricultural products for many years where he retired as manager aftre 46 years of service. He was a member of the Rushville American Legion. He served as a photo interpreter for the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Paul leaves his wife, Mary Monroe of Rushville; son, Robert A. Monroe of Rushville; daughters, Mrs. Joseph (Theresa Kay) Holtgrewe of Hamilton, Ohio and Kimberly Ann Monroe of Rushville; brother, Joseph Monroe (and wife, Martha) of Cloverdale; 10 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2010 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Don Heller officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Hope Moravian Cemetery at 1 p.m. Friday where military graveside rites will be observed.
