RUSHVILLE —
Helena Maxine Wyatt, 91, a lifelong Rush County resident, passed away Sunday, November 11 in Rushville. She was born on May 4, 1921 in Rush County to Nehemiah & Anna E. (Coleman) Dunn. She married Charley Wyatt on July 13, 1940 and he preceded her in death on January 17, 1992.
Maxine attended the Metamora Church of God for many years. She loved to read her Bible in her spare time. She loved board games and was especially fond of Scrabble.
She is survived by her sons, James & wife Betty Wyatt of Rushville, Charles Wyatt of Pendleton and Mark Wyatt of Orlando, FL, daughters, Wanda Jeffries of Rushville and Florence & husband Donald Halcomb of Metamora, a brother, Everett Dunn of Andersonville, 23 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, several great-great grandchildren and many nieces & nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, Maxine was preceded in death by a son, Dale, a daughter, Mary Stanley, 2 brothers, 6 sisters and 2 grandsons.
Services will be held on Wednesday, November 14 at 1 PM at the Metamora Church of God where friends are welcome to visit after 11 AM that same day. Rev. Wayne Ison will preside and burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Metamora Church of God.
