RUSHVILLE —
Alberta Bigelow, 96, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Rushville.
She was born July 5, 1916, the daughter of Herman and Mary Catherine (Williams) Kindler.
Alberta retired from Indiana Bell Telephone Company. She was a member of Center Christian Church and Prospect Lodge of Indianapolis.
The family wishes to thank Miller’s Merry Manor for her care the last two and a half years.
She is survived by a daughter, Ann (husband, Jack) Grund of Knightstown; a son, John (wife, Ginny) Bigelow of Downers Grove, Ill.; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Edward Bigelow; and siblings, Edward Kindler, Earl Kindler and Edith Wood.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with Pastor Bill Worrell officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service Saturday.
