RUSHVILLE —
Clifford C. Moss, 95, of Shelbyville, died Jan. 20, 2013.
Born Oct. 3, 1917 in Owensburg, he was the son of Richard and Gail (Crabbe) Moss, both deceased. He married Lorena Bennett March 9, 1940; she preceded him in death Jan. 4, 1994.
Mr. Moss was employed by J.L. Chase-Albert Furniture Co. and with Shelbyville Central Schools as a custodian, retiring in 1987. He was a former member of American Legion Post 70 and the Eagles. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He enjoyed playing cards with his family and tinkering around with anything mechanical.
Survivors include sons, Bill (Truus) Moss of Florida, David (Shannon) Moss, Alan (Cindy) Moss and Bryan (Tammy) Moss, all of Shelbyville; daughter, Sharrell (Larry) Adkins of Rushville; daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Charles) Oswald of Shelbyville; sister, Lillian Johnson of Linton; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and his favorite dog and companion, Henry.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory in Shelbyville with the Rev. Tim Hampton officiating. Burial in Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
