RUSHVILLE — Ivan H. Lawrence Sr., 84, a longtime Clarksburg and Greensburg resident, passed away Oct. 26, 2012 in Greensburg.

Ivan was born Sept. 26, 1928 in Cambridge City to the late James and Lola (Kiehn) Lawrence. He attended school in Cambridge City.

Ivan married Lula Baker Sept. 28, 1955; she preceded him in death June 5, 2010. Ivan worked various farming jobs in Decatur County and retired from Delta Faucet in 1990 after 19 years of service.

Ivan leaves behind two sons, Ivan H. Lawrence Jr. and John L. Lawrence, both of Greensburg; three daughters, Lucille (George) Bowman of Laurel, Lula Ann (Larry) Hornsby of Greensburg and Virginia Kay (Chester) Goodwin of North Vernon; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

Besides his wife Lula and his parents, Ivan was preceded in death by a daughter, Lula Ann Lawrence; four brothers, Sam, Floyd, Leonard and Walter Lawrence; a sister, Stella Walters; and his twin sister, Iva Anderson.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2012 at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with Pastor David Steidel presiding. Friends are welcome to visit from 11 a.m. until time of service that same day. Burial will follow at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
