RUSHVILLE —
Elizabeth “Betty” Reuter, 92, of Fairland, passed away Dec. 29, 2012 at her daughter’s home in Michigan.
Born Jan. 16, 1920 in Jennings County, she was the daughter of the late William and Dorothy (Gosh) Deiwert. She married Raphael Reuter Aug. 19, 1939; he preceded her in death June 11, 1995.
She was a farmer’s wife and a mother. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and St. Anne’s Alter Society.
Survivors include sons, Tom Reuter of Fairland, Mark (Laura) Reuter of Noblesville and Matthew Reuter of Gwynneville; daughter, Dorothy (Preston) Childs of Grand Ledge, Mich.; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters-in-law, Rebadean Deiwert and Mary Reuter.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Ardell and John Deiwert.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 4 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Shelbyville, with Fathers Aaron Pfaff, John Maung, Leon Reuter and Chris Reuter officiating. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Visitation from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Murphy-Parks Funeral Service & Crematory, Shelbyville.
