RUSHVILLE — Gloria Linville, 69, a longtime Rush County resident, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013 at her home in Sexton.

She was born July 9, 1943 in Laurel to Herschel and Frances (Winters) Vail. She was a 1961 graduate of Laurel High School and spent her early life there. She married Clyde L. Linville June 23, 1961 and he preceded her in death Dec. 1, 2006. They moved to their home in Sexton in 1969.

Gloria worked many years as a nurses aid to Dr. McKee. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. She also loved her dogs. Gloria was always quick with a joke and would give the ones she loved a hard time.

She is survived by her sons, Tony and wife Dee Linville of Indianapolis and Mike Linville at home; a daughter, Ceilia and husband Phil Nigh of Rushville; brothers, Harry “Bud” Vail and Donnie Vail, both of Laurel; sisters, Judy and husband Tony Hauntz of Syracuse, Cindy and husband Don Ash of Glenwood, Doris “Susie” and husband Larry Dice of Rushville, Beverly Fromm of Tuscon, Ariz., Debbie and husband Roy Grizzell of Laurel and Francie and husband Mark Isaac of Connersville; grandkids, Amanda, Kevin, Kyleigh, Kelsey, Brent and Brittany; and great-grandkids, Ethan, Raeanna, Zack, Brayden, Anthony and Jason.

In addition to her parents and husband, Gloria was preceded in death by brothers, Kenny Wayne, Herschel, Jr. and Ronnie and a sister, Pat Allen.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, where friends are welcome to visit from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Orange Cemetery. Pastor Michael Rogers will preside.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung or Cancer Societies.
