Cecilia “Cel” (Voelker) Mohr, 89, of Greenfield, died Sept. 13, 2009.
Born Jan. 28, 1920 in Madison, she was the daughter of John W. and Magdelena (Jacobs) Voelker, both deceased.
Mrs. Mohr was a 1938 graduate of Boggstown High School. She worked for the U.S.D.A., was a homemaker and enjoyed working alongside her family on the farm. She attended both St. Thomas Catholic Church in Fortville and St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Greenfield.
She is survived by five children, Roy (Marilyn) Mohr of Rushville, Ronnie (Sarah) Mohr of Greenfield, Robert (Ann) Mohr of Simpsonville, S.C., Joyce (Mike) Holmes of Greenfield, Joe (Pat) Mohr of Greenfield; sister, Barbara Jean Powell of McAllen, Texas; 16 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Maurice Mohr; daughter, Gail Youngclaus; brothers, Nicholas Voelker and Robert C. Voelker; sisters, Elenora Ross and Marie Howard.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Stillinger Family Funeral Home, Pasco Chapel, Greenfield with Father Severin Messick O.S.B. officiating. Burial will follow in Cooper Cemetery, Greenfield. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
