RUSHVILLE — Frances E Jobe, 91, of Rushville, passed away Feb. 3 at Miller's Merry Manor.
Frances was born Feb. 1, 1921 in Fayette County, the only daughter of the late Lillian (Lushell) Jobe and Howard Jobe. She graduated in May of 1939 from Rushville High School, where she was a member of the Stenographers Club and Rushlite & Holcad staff.
She retired in 1983 after 40 years from the former Rush County National Bank. She was Vice President of the the bank and head of the commercial loan department. She was a member of Main St. Christian Church for 70 years.
Frances had several cousins, Dorothy Dusing of Rushville, Robert Bowen of Missouri, Debra Ware, Mark Lushell and Carol Swaffar of Indianapolis, Mike Lushell of Frankfort, IN and many friends including Helen Jinks and Louise Krick whom looked after her the last few years. Frances was loved by all who knew her. She was know for her kindness to every one and to every animal that ever walked into her yard.
A Celebration of Life for Frances will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with Pastor Sam Davenport officiating.
Friends are asked to call from noon until the time of service. Burial will follow at Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
