RUSHVILLE —
Doris F. Ogden, 92, of Rushville, passed away Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010 in Rushville. Doris Tague was born Dec. 17, 1917 in Laurel to Gilbert and Margaret (Raham) Tague, both deceased. She married Tony C. Ogden Jan. 10, 1941; he preceded her in death Sept. 8, 1994. She spent her early life in Franklin County, but most of her life was in Rushville. She was a waitress at Wilhelm's from 1936 to 1941, the Durbin Hotel from 1963 to 1979 and worked at the Dollar Store from 1987 to 1993. Doris graduated from Laurel in 1935. She loved her family and grandchildren. Doris enjoyed reading, quilting and doing embroidery. She had been a member of Rushville Church of Christ. She leaves behind a son, Richard N. (and wife, Cindy) of Arlington; daughters, Linda (and husband, Robert E.) Jones of Findlay, Ohio, Marcia Cox of Columbus, Karen (and husband, Michael) Simpkins of New Salem, Toni (and husband, Gary) Linville and Carol (and husband, Gene) Meckes, both of Rushville; twin brother, Max Tague of Rushville; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by two infants sons; brothers, Neil and Jack; and sisters, Lillian, Edna and Ida. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Moster Mortuary, Rushville with Bob Brock officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the mortuary. Burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer or Diabetes Association.
