Jesslyn Ball Murray, 90, went to be with the Lord Saturday, Aug. 28, 2010 at Ripley Crossing Nursing Home in Milan. Jesslyn Ball was born Jan. 23, 1920 in Clay County, Ky. to George and Fannie (Metcalf) Ball, both deceased. She spent several years in Cincinnati, Ohio and Laurel. She married Leonard Murray March 8, 1939; he preceded her in death Aug. 29, 1990. She was a homemaker. She leaves behind her sons, Richard H. (and wife, Sheila) Murray of Dillsboro, Leonard "Bud" (and wife, Sandy) Murray of Brown County and Lewis A. Murray of St. Louis, Mo.; daughters, Patricia Ann (and husband, Greg) Gratias of Garden Grove, Calif. and Verna Lee Murray of Montana; 22 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband Jesslyn was preceded in death by two sons, Stephen and Theodore; two sisters, Dicie and Lucinda; and brother, Joshua. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church with Brother Rob Edwards officiating. Visitation was Monday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Buena Southern Missionary Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by Moster Mortuary, Rushville.
