Linda Lou Ervine, 69

Rushville Republican

RUSHVILLE — Linda Lou Ervine, 69, of Rushville, peacefully entered the kingdom of heaven Dec. 26, 2012 at her residence.

Linda was born Aug. 29, 1943 in Connersville, the daughter of the late Vernon W. and Avylin (Moore) Ervine. She married William A. Ervine Oct. 2, 1976; he preceded her in death Sept. 27, 2008.

She was recently a homemaker, but throughout her life was a cook working for many places in the community including the Rush County Jail and Rush Memorial Hospital. She also worked as a secretary at ICAP. She was a member of Family Worship Center.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Richard Alan (Sherry) Long and Teresa G. (Jesse) Kaster, both of Rushville; three brothers, Vernon D (Hilah) Ervine of Kentucky, Kendell Ervine and Donnie Ervine, both of Rushville; one sister, Aletia (Bill) Sweet of Rushville; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Danny and Jerry; and sister, Faye Menefee.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with Pastor Ted Totsch officiating.

Friends may call one hour prior to the service.

Burial will follow in Rushville’s East Hill Cemetery.
