RUSHVILLE —
Loyd McConnell, 94, a resident of Knightstown, passed away peacefully Friday morning, Feb. 15, 2013. She was born on May 23, 1918, in Rush County to William and Beulah (Metsker) Glendenning.
She married Jesse Thomas McConnell on Sept. 1, 1945.
She was a member of Knightstown United Methodist Church. She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Susan (Gerald) Leonard of Knightstown; a brother, George (Mary Kay) Glendenning of Shelbyville; a sister, Jenny Lou Leisure of Carthage; 2 grandchildren, Michelle and Aaron Leonard of Knightstown; and a great granddaughter, Lauren Congdon of Knightstown.
In addition to her parents, William and Beulah, Loyd was preceded in death by her husband, Tom, and a grandchild, Christopher Wayne Leonard.
Services will be held for Loyd at noon on Monday, Feb. 18, 2013, at Heritage Funeral Care in Knightstown with Pastor Curt Hunt presiding. Friends are welcome to visit at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be at Glen Cove Cemetery in Knightstown. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Knightstown United Methodist Church.
