RUSHVILLE —
Velma Maybelle Wimmer, 95, died Feb. 18, 2013, at Community South, Greenwood.
Born Nov. 6, 1917, she was the daughter of Omer and Bertha (Baker) Holzlider.
She was a 1935 graduate of Milroy High School.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wimmer, in 1996, and a sister, Marceila DeCoursey.
Survivors include son, Bill (Shelia) Wimmer, New Whiteland; sisters, Bertie Jane Jackson, Indianapolis, and Betty Mellencamp, Greenwood; three grandsons; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was an active member of Milroy Methodist Church until 2000. She moved to Greenwood and transferred membership to Greenwood Methodist Church.
Visitation is 9 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2013. Service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday with Revs. Valerie Wilson and John Wimmer officiating. Burial will be in Richland Fishers Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements entrusted to Burns Funeral Home, Milroy.
