RUSHVILLE —
Mary Agnes Sloan, 84, of Rushville, passed away Feb. 5 at her residence with her family at her side.
Mary was born in Conway, Iowa to Paul and Edna Delles (both deceased). She was married to E. Weston Sloan on August 19, 1950, and he preceded her in death Aug. 3, 2006.
Mary and Wes had six children, Mark, Tim (Angie), Suanne Evans, Jeni (David) Hoover, and Brian (Angie) all of Rushville, and Craig of Lakeway, Texas. She also leaves a brother, Dennis (Kate) Delles, 14 grandchildren, four great- grandchildren, in-laws, and numerous nieces, and nephews.
She was a member of St. Mary Church, Psi Iota Xi, sorority, and enjoyed several different bridge clubs. In addition to being a fulltime homemaker, she spent time working for the United Fund.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10 at St. Mary Church with Rev. Jeremy M. Gries officiating.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory. Burial will follow at Rushville's Calvary Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers the family requests Gifts of Remembrance to Hospice of South Central Indiana, 2626 E. 17th St., Columbus, IN 47201, or to St. Mary Church, 512 N. Perkins St., Rushville, IN 46173.
