Earl C. Rapp Jr., 87, of Rushville and formerly of Shelbyville, passed away Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
Born Feb. 4, 1925, in Indianapolis, he was the son of Earl C. Sr. and Ruby (Price) Rapp. He married Mary Jean Morgan in November, 1958; she preceded him in death Feb. 2, 1999.
Survivors include his son, Danny (wife, Wilma) Rapp of Rushville; daughter, Tina Ledford of Shelbyville; grandchildren, Jamie (husband, Nathan) Schoettmer, Troy (wife, Ashley) Rapp, Michelle (husband, Adam) Woodall, Crystal Ledford and Makayla Rapp; and great-grandchildren, Carson Woodall, Austin Leinberger, Blake Schoettmer, Alexis Rapp, Lilli Rapp and Allie Rapp.
He was also preceded in death by his parents.
Mr. Rapp retired from Schlage Door Lock Company in 1992, after 25 years of service. He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during World War II. Mr. Rapp enjoyed using CB radios.
Visitation was Monday at Freeman Family Funeral Homes and Crematory, Carmony-Ewing Chapel, 819 S. Harrison St., Shelbyville.
Funeral services were Monday at the funeral home.
Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery, Shelbyville, with military graveside rites conducted by the local military committee.
